Position Overview
The Student Enrollment & Transportation Manager is a key member of the operations team responsible for leading and managing all aspects of student recruitment, enrollment, and transportation systems. This role ensures strong enrollment outcomes, a seamless family onboarding experience, and efficient, compliant transportation processes. The Manager independently owns and drives these systems, aligning them to school goals and operational priorities.
Student Recruitment
Develops and executes a comprehensive student recruitment plan and annual calendar
Establishes application goals for each recruitment cycle and monitors progress
Serves as the primary point of contact for prospective families
Manages relationships with enrollment platforms to ensure compliance and efficiency
Oversees and executes the student application lottery process
Student Enrollment
Designs, implements, and continuously improves enrollment and orientation processes
Establishes enrollment targets and drives progress toward goals
Serves as the primary point of contact for accepted families
Provides regular updates to the Leadership Team on enrollment progress
Coordinates communication between families, staff, and leadership
Maintains accurate and complete student records
Student Transportation
Serves as the lead contact for all student transportation matters
Ensures all transportation documentation is complete and submitted on time
Manages communication with the District Transportation Office
Oversees transportation processes including applications, changes, suspensions, and McKinney-Vento supports
Additional Responsibilities
Supports key school-wide systems such as arrival and dismissal
Leads logistics and execution of school events and activities
Provides operational support to the Main Office as needed
Independently manages operational and administrative projects aligned to school priorities
Success Metrics
Enrollment targets met
Application-to-enrollment conversion rate
100% completion of student records prior to start date
Transportation issues resolved within 24–48 hours
Positive family onboarding experience
Qualifications
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Experience In School Operations, Enrollment, Or Family Engagement Preferred
Experience working in an urban or elementary school setting preferred
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
Fingerprint clearance from the NYS Department of Education
Ability to work some flexible hours for school events, family nights, and required meetings
Uses standard office and classroom equipment

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
