Duties

- Conduct child development instruction tailored to individual needs, including special education and early intervention strategies when necessary.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through regular updates and meetings.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards by accurately documenting incidents or concerns.
- Facilitate classroom activities that promote physical activity, cognitive growth, and emotional well-being for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while fostering a supportive atmosphere that encourages children’s independence and social interaction.
Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED- Required
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings is essential but not necessary
- Willing to learn childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, and team members.
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, or working with children with diverse learning requirements is advantageous.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, standardized testing preparation (if applicable), and implementing literacy education strategies.
- A genuine passion for teaching preschoolers combined with excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently.
