Job Summary:
The Cook (Chef de Cuisine) will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-volume kitchen and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The Cook will be responsible for creating new menu items, managing inventory, and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to restaurant standards
- Create new menu items and specials
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cook (Chef de Cuisine) in a high-volume kitchen
- Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients
- Ability to create new menu items and specials
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree from a culinary school is a plus
