Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Manager / Lead to join their team in Alpharetta, GA. This is an individual contributor role. This role will support U.S. and international tax operations, including federal, state, and foreign compliance, tax provision, and strategic planning initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong technical tax expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support external service providers in the preparation of:
• Global tax provision
• U.S. federal, state, and Canadian income/franchise tax filings (including estimates and extensions)
• Transfer pricing documentation and related analyses
• Ensure all tax workpapers are complete, accurate, and provide appropriate audit support.
• Gather and review accounting and operational data from internal teams to support accurate tax reporting.
• Prepare and review tax accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Oversee the tax calendar to ensure all filings and payments are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain and update intercompany agreements and transfer pricing documentation for compliance and planning purposes.
• Research complex U.S. federal and state tax matters and prepare technical memoranda to document conclusions.
• Support tax due diligence, legal entity rationalization, modeling, and planning related to mergers and acquisitions.
• Assist with additional tax initiatives, including audits, notices, information reporting (W-9s/W-8s), tax technology enhancements, and process improvements.
  

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive corporate tax experience within a public accounting firm or large multinational organization
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting/Taxation or JD preferred
• Active CPA license required
• Strong experience with ASC 740 and uncertain tax positions
• Working knowledge of international taxation and transfer pricing
• Advanced Excel skills: experience with Microsoft Office, OneSource, and Intacct preferred
