Mold Maker / Manufacturing Technician
Location: Leominster MA
Job Type: Full-time, On-site
Up to $90,000 per year, based on experience and skill set
A trusted contract manufacturer specializing in custom-engineered thermoplastic, liquid silicone rubber (LSR), and thermoset components and assemblies, is seeking an experienced Mold Maker / Manufacturing Technician to join our growing team.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a clean, high-precision environment where craftsmanship and quality are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
Build new molds from raw materials using CNC and manual machining equipment
Repair, troubleshoot, and modify existing molds to meet production requirements
Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds for evaluation and maintenance
Review and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and 3D models
Operate a range of manual and CNC equipment, including lathes, mills, and surface grinders
Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and height gauges
Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to solve tooling challenges and recommend improvements
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment in accordance with company and industry standards
Perform additional Tool Room-related duties as assigned
Must Haves:
Previous experience in mold making, mold repair, or mold modification
Proficiency in both CNC and manual machining processes
Ability to interpret complex blueprints and work accurately with tight tolerances
Additional Qualifications:
Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
Prior experience in medical device manufacturing, aerospace, or similarly regulated industries is a plus
