What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sheetmetal Worker position at Expert Staffing West?
Job Details:
- Pay Rate: $19–$21 per hour
- Number of Positions: 3
- Shift: 1st Shift
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 AM–1:30 PM
- Friday, 4:00 AM–8:00 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move materials as needed.
- Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
- Operate hand tools (benders, pliers, snips, shears, etc.) and machinery such as forklifts.
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Assist Sheet Metal Operators and follow instructions from supervisors or lead personnel.
- Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions.
- Select appropriate sheet metal based on blueprints and project plans.
- Measure, mark, and cut sheet metal according to specifications.
Skills & Abilities:
- Familiarity with tools and machinery.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety procedures.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job.
- Understanding of industry safety standards.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Physical strength, stamina, and ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
