Expert Staffing west is seeking Saw Blade Leveling Technician for a facility in Oxnard CA.
2nd shift Level: $18.00 train on first shift*Training hours M-F 6am-2:30pm
Second shift hours once training is completed 2:30pm-11pm.
SUMMARY:
Set up, operate, or tend machines or tools to level steel cores. To check run out and dish using precision Dial indicators. To hammer and smith blades to bring into desired specification.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Other duties may be assigned.
Production:
Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using indicators and micrometers. Examine completed workpieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws. Read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances. Load workpieces into machines. Set up, operate, or tend machines to straighten metal. Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data. For Arga, must adjust tension Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools. Clean machines and keep work area clear of debris.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Education:
Professional, technical or administrative training; including knowledge of manufacturing methods and techniques, and a broad shop background in a recognized trade, equivalent to a complete accredited apprenticeship training and supervisorial training. High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate). Less than a High School Diploma Experience: A minimum 3 years work-related experience is required to qualify for this position, in addition to a minimum of 3 months to adapt to specific job itself. An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable..
