Computed Tomography Technologist/Xray Technologist

Position Summary: X-ray technologist who will be taking x-rays as well as conducting computed tomography scans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissues.
- Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
- Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
- Sanitize radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
- Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
- Administering CT Contrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
- Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
- Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.
Certificates and Licenses:
State Radiologic Technologist License to work as a CT Technologist. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Basic Life Support Certified by American Heart Association. Venipucture Certification. State X-ray Technologist Permit to work as an X-ray Technician.
Note: PRN/Part-time with potential to transition to full-time as patient volume increases.
