Job Summary
Applicant must have bookkeeping experience using Quickbooks. Will not consider anyone who isn't well-versed with at least 2-years experience. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage accurate financial record-keeping, support daily office operations, and assist with various administrative tasks. Your expertise in Quickbooks and financial concepts will ensure our records are precise and compliant with industry standards. Duties

  • Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xcelerator.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations to verify data integrity.
  • Prepare journal entries, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage payroll functions efficiently.
  • Assist with general ledger accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Support governmental accounting procedures, tax filings, and financial report writing for various projects.
  • Conduct account analysis, budget monitoring, financial data entry and generate Profit and Loss Reports, etc.
  • Handle administrative duties such as filing, data entry, answering phones, and supporting office operations to ensure smooth workflow.

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices, and governmental accounting standards.
  • Experience with GAAP compliance, journal entries, general ledger management, and double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes, bank reconciliation techniques, and account reconciliation procedures.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, and financial report writing.
  • Ability to perform detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
