Job Summary
An auto body technician is responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicle bodies. This includes a wide range of tasks such as assessing damage, removing and replacing damaged parts, repairing structural damage, preparing surfaces for painting, and ensuring the vehicle is returned to its pre-accident condition.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
- Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
- Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
- Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
- Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
- Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills

- 3 years experience as a auto body technician
