Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pool Technician role based in Raleigh, NC. The Pool Technician is responsible for performing routine pool maintenance, including water testing, chemical balancing, cleaning pool surfaces, skimmers, and filters, and ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Daily tasks may include inspecting and troubleshooting pumps, heaters, and filtration systems, identifying maintenance needs, and completing minor repairs or adjustments. The role also involves accurately documenting service activities, communicating findings and recommendations to supervisors and clients, and following all safety and regulatory guidelines. The Pool Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to support multiple commercial pool locations.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform hands-on pool maintenance, including water testing, chemical balancing, cleaning, and basic equipment upkeep.
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on pumps, filters, heaters, and related pool systems.
- Strong attention to safety, with the capacity to follow written procedures, use personal protective equipment, and comply with local regulations.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple service locations and maintain accurate service records.
- Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to service pool locations in the Raleigh, NC area.
- Prior experience in pool service, facilities maintenance, or a related trade is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., CPO or similar) are a plus.
