Job Title: Safety Engineer
Location: Logan, Utah
Pay Range: $50-$54/hr. on W2
What's the Job?
- Review mechanical, electrical, control, and software designs for safety compliance and lead safety reviews.
- Conduct hazard and risk analyses such as HARA, STPA, FMEA, and FTA on machine systems and control architectures.
- Develop safety requirements and work with engineering teams to ensure traceability and verifiability.
- Perform site assessments at customer locations to evaluate operational environments and safety needs.
- Create and implement site safety plans, including operating boundaries, emergency stop systems, and signage.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational safety, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least three years of engineering experience involving machine safety in industrial environments.
- Proven ability to perform hazard assessments and develop safety measures for powered equipment.
- Hands-on experience with safety device testing, electrical schematics, and safety documentation.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% and work on active industrial sites.
