Job Title: Safety Diagnostic Calibration Engineer

What's the Job?
- Calibrate diagnostics to ensure accurate failure mode detection while minimizing false passes and fails.
- Validate diagnostic software strategies including shorted high, shorted low, open circuit, rationality, and functionality for LV1 and LV2 systems.
- Develop and support software change requests to improve diagnostic strategies and reduce warranty issues.
- Collaborate with VRT Engineers to resolve diagnostic performance issues during vehicle testing.
- Review test results, perform DTC validation, and ensure vehicle safety behaviors such as limp modes are correctly implemented.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, controls engineering, or related field.
- Experience with developing diagnostic requirements and software implementation aligned with OBD II regulations.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety standards and related safety development processes.
- Proficiency with CAN communication protocols and tools like CANalyzer, INCA, and MDA.
- Strong communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing) and ability to work with cross-regional teams.
