Citrix Project Manager
12 month contract opportunity
HYBRID IN GOLDEN VALLEY, MN (remote candidates will NOT be considered)
MUST HAVE CITRIX EXPERIENCE
Overview : this posting is for a project manager who will report up through Enterprise PMO and drive our Citrix VDI and Apps migration to Azure Cloud initiative. Essential Functions :
Facilitate seamless delivery and drive collaboration across cross-functional global project team
Proactive leadership and monitoring to identify and mitigate critical path or resource issues
Manage project SDLC documentation following standards (i.e. Team Working Agreement, Agile Release Report, Status Reports, meeting minutes, risks, issues, decisions)
Monitor progress of deliverables, quality, proactively identifying risks, issues and escalation as needed with appropriate leadership
Create and maintain plan in MS Project Server; includes budget & forecasting, accruals, invoice mapping, and ensuring resources have appropriate time tracking buckets setup to bill time. Project Server is our core resource planning and financial management
Partner with the team in creating a communication plan that includes stakeholder communication, change management for rollouts, and internal team meeting interfaces
Partner with functional resource managers to ensure work efforts are effectively resourced
Follow release management process to schedule and manage delivery releases
Interface with stakeholders to manage expectations & escalations
Guarantee compliance with delivery processes and standards
Knowledge, Skill & Competency Requirements :
Strong understanding of citrix virtual apps and desktops, citrix gateway, and virtualization technologies, with hands-on experience in citrix migrations being a plus.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, etc) and the integration with Citrix solutions, including knowledge of IAAS and cloud security best practices
Basic understanding of networking (VPN, firewalls, load balancers), server infra, and enpoint management to effectively oversee the migration process and coordinate with technical teams
Knowledge and understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Project
Experience in formal techniques of risk management
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Experience collaborating and providing project leadership in cross-functional teams
Excellent relationship management skills
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5 years of IT delivery management experience
PMP certification or other formal project management training preferred
