What's the Job?
- Receive, review, process, track, research, respond to, and close audit requests while ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and payer requirements.
- Manage a high-volume audit environment, including prescription validation reviews, desk audits, field audits, real-time audits, and other payer review activities.
- Prepare audit response packages by gathering and validating required documentation and reviewing pharmacy records, claims, prescriptions, and supporting materials for completeness and accuracy.
- Support audit defense activities by researching findings, assisting with audit appeals, and helping prepare objections related to audit scope and methodology.
- Monitor audit trends and outcomes, track appeal success and recovery opportunities, and recommend process improvements to reduce future audit exposure.
- 3 years of experience in specialty pharmacy, PBM audits, pharmacy compliance, payer operations, revenue integrity, or related healthcare operations.
- Experience reviewing pharmacy claims, prescription documentation, and payer requirements.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills to produce clear, compliant audit response materials.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency for tracking, analysis, and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines with minimal supervision while maintaining high attention to detail.
