GENERAL FUNCTION - As an Internal Communications Specialist for North America, you will support the Communications team in its mission to inform, engage and build connections among employees. Reporting into the Director of Internal Communications, you will be tasked with developing and editing compelling communications content across channels from intranet postings to all-hands events to organizational announcements for the business. A strong communicator and collaborator is needed for this role.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Source, draft and edit content for internal newsletters and company-wide emails covering different areas of our business, from wholesale and retail to logistics and manufacturing.
* Coordinate and design presentation collateral for quarterly Town Halls and other internal events.
* Responsible for developing content for - and publishing to - the company intranet.
* Support internal events from catering to slide development to webcast management.
* Manage IC budget and vendor relationships, including submitting POs, invoices and following up.
* Manage the communications mailbox and answer employees promptly.
* Responsible for calendar management for the communications team.
* Maintain updated distribution lists to ensure communications are sent to the correct audiences in a timely matter.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Superior writing skills and the ability to quickly develop a rapport with leaders required for this role
* 3-5 years of Internal Communications experience
* Bachelors degree required in Communications or related discipline
* Prior experience organizing employee events with a lot of moving parts.
* Presentation creation and graphic design/media experience, including knowledge of Content Management Systems, Adobe Suite
* Exceptional project management skills with proven ability to plan, develop and deliver high quality content and events
* Ability to exercise good judgment and work well under pressure
* Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
* At least some prior exposure to senior leadership; ability to articulate ideas clearly and confidently in front of a group and incorporate feedback quickly from multiple sides.
