Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)

What's the Job?
- Perform laboratory tests in accordance with standard procedures, applying expertise and sound judgment in the final review and certification of results prior to release
- Review calibration and QC results to ensure they meet specification limits and take appropriate corrective actions before releasing donor test results
- Investigate inconsistent lab results and monitor QC performance for shifts or trends, recommending corrective actions as necessary
- Clean, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate analytical equipment to manufacturer specifications and CLIA requirements, maintaining proper documentation throughout
- Provide supervision, training, and support for Unlicensed Testing Personnel and certify their continued competency per state requirements
- Active California license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist, Toxicologist, or Chemist) under BPC, Chapter 3
- Bachelor's degree in science (required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a toxicology laboratory working with mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS and/or GC/MS), or 5 years of general clinical laboratory experience with toxicology knowledge
- Pipetting and computer skills, with the ability to learn LIMS systems
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality
- Competitive hourly pay up to $52/hr
