Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting trees, shrubs, and gardening supplies that meet their landscape goals
- Provide expert advice on plant care, landscape maintenance, lawn care, and horticulture best practices
- Maintain organized stock displays and ensure merchandise is well-presented and properly stocked
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging plants attractively and ensuring seasonal displays are appealing
- Handle customer inquiries with clear communication skills, offering solutions that foster satisfaction and loyalty
- Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and safe by performing stocking duties and maintaining organizational standards
Skills
- Strong knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, and floral design techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Experience with retail sales processes including cashiering, POS systems, cash handling, and retail math
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage stock levels, merchandising displays, and inventory records
