This is not your typical classroom role. As an ESL Teacher with Experience USA, you’ll go beyond textbooks, bringing language learning to life through real-world experiences in New York. You’ll teach, mentor, and connect with international students while helping them build confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

What You’ll Do
Deliver Engaging, Student-Centered Lessons
- Plan and teach dynamic ESL lessons tailored to international students (ages 11–17)
- Use interactive, communicative teaching methods that prioritize student participation
- Adapt lessons to different learning levels and needs
- Create a classroom environment that is engaging, supportive, and inclusive
Drive Real Learning Outcomes
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support development
- Conduct placement/diagnostic testing as needed
- Prepare end-of-course reports and contribute to student evaluations
- Reinforce classroom learning through practical, real-world application
Collaborate & Stay Organized
- Work closely with the Head Teacher and teaching team
- Attend daily briefings and ongoing training sessions
- Maintain accurate attendance records and report absences promptly
- Submit lesson plans, class records, and required documentation on time
Be Part of the Full Student Experience
- Participate in campus life, events, and graduation ceremonies
- Support a positive, immersive learning environment beyond the classroom
- Build strong relationships with students from around the world
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Accredited ESL teaching qualification (CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or equivalent with observed teaching practice)
- Strong understanding of English language teaching methodologies
- Native-level or fluent English proficiency
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate young learners in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience teaching ESL (summer programs or short courses a plus)
- Experience working with teenagers or international students
- Familiarity with interactive and activity-based learning approaches
