Experience Marketing is seeking a Temporary Field Manager between the beginning of August 2023 to the end of October 2023. The Temporary Field Manager is responsible for facilitating on-site activation including setup and tear-down. This will include overseeing and motivating the entire staff of Product and Promotional specialists. Temporary Field Managers are highly motivated individuals with a great attention to detail, responsible and trustworthy, and are self-motivated learners that are comfortable with problem solving. The main goal of the Temporary Field Manager position is to ensure all events are executed to the high standards for which Experience Marketing is known.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the overall lead at events
  • Manage interactions with clients, event staff, outside vendors and other partners
  • Oversee and participate in set-up and tear-down,
  • Troubleshoot any technology being used on site
  • Maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of the display space
  • Design and lay out a display footprint - this includes understanding all consumer traffic patterns and any critical elements
  • Ensure display is operational and prepared to welcome customers prior to EMI designated start time.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise on site staff
  • Schedule meal and rest periods for staff during event day(s), while ensuring maximum coverage during peak times.
  • Serve in other roles such as Product Specialist or Promotional Specialist as necessary
  • Ensure safe transport of vehicles and display assets both to and from event locations
  • Provide accurate and timely reports
  • Assist with training of additional on-site roles
  • Identify areas for improvement in company processes and training relative to on site activations
  • Manage inventory of consumables
  • Review and provide feedback on Run of Shows, Pack Lists and Event Manager Workbooks

  • React to event changes, shifting priorities and deadlines promptly and efficiently.

  • Show attention to detail.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Strong negotiating skills are a plus.
  • A mechanical understanding is preferred.

Preferred Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum three years’ experience in on site event management.
  • Minimum one year experience managing staff
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point are preferred.
  • Must be able to pass an Experience Marketing Product Specialist Certification
  • Willingness to be very hands on and not afraid to get dirty

Requirements

  • Ability to safely lift objects with assistance up to 50lbs
  • Ability to safely lift objects independently up to 25lbs
  • Travel will be required, up to 100% of work days
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Position will involve working both indoors and outdoors
  • A clean driving record and valid drivers' license
