Position: Server (Opening Team)
Bristol Republic is hiring servers to join our opening team. This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment—perfect for people who thrive under pressure, move with urgency, and bring personality to the floor.
If you can handle a packed room, stay sharp during a rush, and still make guests feel like they’re the only table in the building, you’ll do well here.
What You’ll Do
- Greet guests quickly and set the tone with energy and confidence
- Guide guests through the menu with strong knowledge of food, cocktails, and whiskey
- Take accurate orders using Toast handhelds and follow seat numbers
- Deliver food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Stay present with your tables—refills, check-ins, and anticipating needs
- Handle volume with composure and keep a positive, team-first attitude
- Follow our Steps of Service while contributing to a fun, high-energy environment
Guest Experience Expectations
- Guide guests naturally through the menu—cocktails, sharables, and features
- Build real connections with guests, not just transactions
- Handle issues professionally and involve management when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar strongly preferred
- Comfortable working in busy, high-energy environments (including late nights)
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
- Team-oriented mindset
- Experience with Toast is a plus (especially handhelds)
- Reliable and consistent availability
