Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Follow established recipes and plating standards to deliver visually appealing meals
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient prep to support smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a safe dining environment
- Utilize various cooking techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and food production methods
- Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling and hygiene protocols at all times
- Support high-volume food production during peak hours while maintaining efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, particularly in fine dining or high-volume kitchens
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal assembly
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on serving guests with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Culinary experience including menu planning, catering, and food handling is highly desirable
