Job Description

Summary: To assist the PHX warehouse team with the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of driver check-ins to ensure timely and accurate receiving and sending of freight and information, while conforming to safety and security standards as set by Expeditors.

Tasks and Duties

• Ensure all drivers and warehouse visitors check-in properly in system with complete and accurate data prior to accepting or releasing any freight
• Complete check-out for all drivers in a timely manner
• Verify all documents have been received, signed, scanned, and copied as necessary
• Run reports to gather daily, weekly, monthly data
• Support warehouse team with inputting event codes and data into system
• Receive goods and complete quality check for correct quantity, references, and possible damages
• Picking, checking, loading and unloading of freight by use of a forklift and/or pallet jacks
• Check cargo manifests and assign to the Warehouse Agent Senior or Lead
• Different contouring, such as building and breaking down of ULDs
• Perform Dangerous Goods and/or Lithium checks (if in possession of IATA DG Certificate)
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s procedure
• Adhere to security and compliance rules as set by Expeditors
• Maintain a clean work environment, all transport systems, storage areas, work places
• Ensure a safe work environment by assisting with cleaning check-list and safety standards
• Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations
• Escalation of problems to Management when necessary
• Other tasks/duties as deemed appropriate by your management team

Physical Demands

• Use of standard office equipment - computer with keyboard and mouse, phone, fax/copy/scan machine, etc.   
• Write with pencil/pen/marker   
• Functions performed primarily while seated at desk and standing to assist others
• Ability to walk throughout the warehouse as needed

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required
• College/University or equivalent business qualifications (preferred)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must pass background check
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to commute to PHX building
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Must have the ability to work overtime in support of department needs
• Good computer skills (Word, Excel, and familiarity with PowerPoint)
• Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize throughout the workday while remaining focused and organized
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive in thought and action
• Analytical with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
• Has a demonstrated strong work ethic and reliability
• Comfortable working in a professional business environment
• A proven history of providing exceptional customer service at all levels
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
