Job Description
Accounts Payable Processing
- Review, validate, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
- Match invoices to supporting documentation and company systems.
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding items.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, billing disputes, and payment issues.
- Prepare payment requests and ensure compliance with company approval requirements.
- Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and invoice issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and service providers.
- Communicate effectively with Operations and Accounting teams to resolve billing concerns.
- Escalate at-risk or past-due items when appropriate.
- Support month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Maintain detailed documentation and audit-ready records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Assist with reporting, special projects, and ad hoc analysis.
- Support the Accounting team during periods of high volume.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years of Accounts Payable, Accounting, Finance, or related experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Transportation, logistics, or freight forwarding experience.
- Experience with invoice processing, reconciliations, and vendor management.
