Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. This role involves providing support, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of clients, including children, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those facing mental health challenges.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services using various therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focusing on behavioral health, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and crisis intervention.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients, including case management and coordination with community resources.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper coding using CPT and ICD-10 standards.
- Engage in clinical research activities to enhance service delivery and contribute to the development of best practices in social work.
- Provide home and community care support as needed, ensuring clients receive appropriate services in their environment.
- Work closely with children and families, providing child & family counseling as well as support for special education needs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW or equivalent).
- Experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those facing mental health challenges is preferred.
- Proficiency in EMR systems for patient documentation and data collection.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical counseling practices.
- Strong skills in crisis management, patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles related to mental health treatment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a client-centered approach.
