Overview
We are looking for a Junior Web Developer with an interest in Digital Accessibility to help build and maintain accessible web applications. In this role, you will work with developers and designers to ensure websites and applications meet WCAG and ADA accessibility standards, creating inclusive digital experiences for all users.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain accessible web applications
Ensure websites comply with WCAG and ADA accessibility guidelines
Perform accessibility testing and resolve usability issues
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Participate in code reviews and team collaboration
Requirements
Associate degree or coursework in Computer Science or related field
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
Experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C#, or C (2 years)
Basic understanding of SQL and databases
Familiarity with Windows or Linux environments
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Understanding of WCAG, ARIA, or Section 508 accessibility standards
Experience with .NET or Java-based applications
Familiarity with accessibility testing tools such as Level Access.
