Role Description
The Vacation Consultant role at Expedia Cruises is a flexible full-time or part-time position, based in Dallas, TX.
As an Expedia Cruises vacation consultant, you set your own working hours. We will encourage our consultants to work in the travel agency store to be located at:
10210 N. Central Expressway, Suite 300, Dallas, TX 75231.
Note: This is entirely a commission-based position. In addition, the position does not include employer-sponsored insurance.
Expedia Cruises has a comprehensive online training program within the travel booking software platform available for all of our consultants.
Responsibilities include helping clients plan and book their dream vacations, providing expertise on various travel packages, and building lasting relationships with customers to deliver exceptional service. The consultant will collaborate with team members to meet individual and team sales goals while staying updated on the latest travel offerings, policies, and promotional campaigns. Additional duties involve utilizing booking software, maintaining strong supplier partnerships, and providing tailored travel solutions to create memorable experiences for clients.
Qualifications
- Customer service and strong communication skills to build long-lasting relationships and effectively address client needs.
- Sales and marketing expertise, including the ability to meet sales goals and promote travel products and packages effectively.
- Work to learn Expedia Cruises travel booking software and digital tools, as well as an aptitude for researching travel trends and offerings.
- Organization, attention to detail, and multitasking skills to manage multiple client bookings and coordinate logistics seamlessly.
- Enthusiasm for travel and a deep understanding of various vacation types (e.g., cruises, all-inclusive resorts, tours).
- Experience in the travel or hospitality industry is beneficial.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional certifications or training in travel-related fields are an advantage.
