Job Overview
CAREPRO OF NY is hiring Home Health Aides who speak Farsi.
As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance within their homes. Your compassionate care and support will empower clients to maintain their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care that meets each client's unique needs.
What you’ll do
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document vital signs, ensuring any changes are communicated to the healthcare team promptly.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and catheters.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry.
- Support clients with memory care, Alzheimer’s care, and dementia care strategies tailored to their individual needs.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for accurate documentation of patient care activities while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Skills
- Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in health status or behavior.
- Experience in assisted living or home health environments, particularly with senior care and long-term care settings.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes to ensure clarity in communication with healthcare teams.
- Certification in CPR and knowledge of hospice care practices is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or other special needs.
- Proficient in cooking nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements while ensuring food safety standards are met.
- Compassionate caregiving skills that prioritize the dignity and respect of all clients.
