Supervised By:Program Supervisor

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8am – 4:30pm/variable

Essential Functions of the Job:The primary role of the House Supervisor will be to provide general supervision of the programs and staff within their assigned house. This will include staff development and training, medication ordering, scheduling resident appointments, overseeing house budgeting, managing house and resident funds, ensuring the home has adequate supplies, making appropriate requests and communication with management, compiling data and submitting various reports to management, vehicle management, and any other tasks/duties assigned by management. Other primary functions/duties will include, but are not limited to:

⮚ Maintain comprehensive knowledge about assigned residents’ protocols, risk management plans, medications, and all other areas to provide the best possible continuous care for our residents. Making sure all staff know and understand all plans and policies as well.

⮚ Use active treatment on a daily basis and be able to direct, guide, and role-model for their staff on how to implement these techniques.

⮚ Monitor medication administration for all assigned residents. Ensure that all appropriate steps are being followed to avoid any medication errors. Monitor the medication supply and communicate with the Health Care Director to ensure an adequate supply of medications. Communicate with the Healthcare Director regarding new medication orders and ensure that new prescriptions are started within 24 hours.

⮚ Submit accurate and timely employee payroll to the HR Director.

⮚ Compile and distribute staffing schedules on a regular basis, and ensure that all shifts are covered.

⮚ Handle staffing conflicts efficiently and timely.

⮚ Plan, implement, and lead team meetings on a regular basis.

⮚ Attend all scheduled supervisory team meetings on a regular basis.

⮚ Complete 45-day and quarterly reports on all assigned residents by assigned deadline.

⮚ Complete Monthly Home Safety Checklists efficiently and timely..

⮚ Assist with the development of treatment strategies using data and observations.

⮚ Oversee the residents’ budgeting needs and ensure that regular money counts and financial reviews are completed.

⮚ Monitor medical needs of residents and communicate those needs to administration. Communicate all health related needs of the residents to the Healthcare Director and any other appropriate medical professionals, guardians, case managers, family members to ensure quality care of residents.

⮚ Monitor the condition and maintenance schedule of the house vehicle, making sure the vehicle has regular maintenance appointments to the designated service station when necessary.

⮚ Maintain positive relationships and regular contact with guardians, case managers, and family members of assigned residents.

⮚ Display an ability to work effectively in a team environment, and possess strong problem solving skills.

⮚ Give and receive positive and constructive feedback to staff and peers on a regular basis.

⮚ Possess a strong work ethic and demonstrate strong professional skills.

⮚ Attend all scheduled and required training, including CPI(Crisis Prevention Intervention), CPR(Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and other training assigned by administration.

⮚ Lifting and transferring adults and providing assistance to those in wheelchairs.

⮚ Complete thorough and timely employee performance reviews.

⮚ Delegate duties and team jobs to staff and following up to ensure the jobs are being completed.

⮚ Possess a strong knowledge of Vulnerable Adult Act, Adult Foster Care Rules, and licensing requirements.

⮚ Follow and be familiar with all Expanding Horizons, Inc. policies and procedures.

⮚ Ensure there is sufficient Program Funds, and replenishing them as needed by turning in receipts and requesting additional funds from Program Assistant.

⮚ Requesting Company Gas Cards when necessary and ensuring the return of old Gas Cards and receipts.

⮚ Ensure regular and timely attendance of residents to Day Program, Work, and/or School.

⮚ Ensure community outing documentation is accurate.

⮚ Completing and uploading Home Visit Logs by assigned deadline.

⮚ Submit Maintenance Requests in a timely fashion.

⮚ Communicate regularly with direct supervisor regarding staff issues, resident incidents, any and all safety concerns, and all other areas when advice by management is recommended.

Required Education/Experience:

⮚ Be at least 18 years of age.

⮚ Ability to pass a criminal background check as required by county and state governments.

⮚ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and provide proof upon request.

⮚ A high level of verifiable experience in a related field.

⮚ The ability to work in a team environment.

⮚ Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a leader by giving positive and constructive feedback to coworkers.

⮚ Strong work ethic and ability to supervise others effectively.

⮚ Ability to assist residents with transfers.

⮚ Range of motion to perform all required resident assistance and all job related tasks.

⮚ Ability to stand or be on your feet for long periods of time and lift assistance of up to 40 pounds.

⮚ Follow oral and written directions accurately and consistently.

⮚ Possess a current driver's license without a major infraction.

⮚ Have the ability to be insured and drive EHI's vehicles.

⮚ Successfully complete EHI's orientation process.

⮚ Have the ability to perform all essential functions of the job.

⮚ Have the ability to perform all job duties of Residential Aides/Specialists.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
