Expand Psychology is now accepting and welcomes applications for our 2025-2026 Postdoctoral Fellowship. Expand Psychology is a growing and thriving private, outpatient group practice with modern offices in Falls Church, McLean, and Old Town Alexandria, VA. Founded in 2005, Expand Psychology currently employs 23 full and part-time multidisciplinary staff focused on treating patients across the lifespan.
About Our Fellowship:
Fellows typically engage in approximately 20-25 hours of direct client contact per week. A hallmark of the Expand Psychology fellowship is the opportunity for flexibility in building a training program that best fits your clinical interests and training goals. There is ample opportunity to engage in a combination of individual therapy, psychological assessment, and group therapy based on candidate’s interest.
Each postdoctoral fellow is a full employee of the practice and may choose to work part or full-time. Fellows will receive weekly individual and group supervision and participate in ongoing didactic trainings in both cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic/integrative therapies. Additional supervision will be provided for fellows engaging in psychological testing.
Expand Psychology offers full-time clerical and administrative support, allowing our clinicians to focus fully on the clinical needs of their clients, professional development, and training goals. We are thrilled that many of our past Fellows continue with the practice as full-time staff after achieving licensure and we are excited to welcome new candidates to our training program and staff team.

Qualifications and Best Fit Candidates:
- The Postdoctoral Fellowship is open to graduates from APA-approved clinical psychology training programs who have completed their pre-doctoral internship.
- Applicants should have experience and interest working with children and/or teens.
