POSITION: Structural Project Engineer, Buildings

 

POSITION: Be able to self-perform and assist others in performing the required work at any stage of a project from schematic design through construction administration; perform calculations, sketches, drawing production, specifications, and multi-discipline coordination on a regular basis; conduct observations of and evaluate existing conditions in both the field and via existing historical drawings are commonplace; work on multiple projects concurrently that require coordination of work between multiple EXP offices, as well as outside consultants; perform occasional short-term travel to project sites, usually, a single night or two at a time. Up to 40% remote work allowed. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. 

 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field plus 5 years related experience. Required skills: Conduct vibration studies and modal analyses of internal staircases of a building that are at a risk of resonance or dynamic loads; Analyze, design and ensure stability of structural screenwall systems to resist large wind loads; Estimate loads and analyze raft and pile foundation system subjected to seismic and hydrostatic loads in earthquake-prone zones using relevant building codes like the IBC and ASCE 7; Analyze and design concrete roof systems when subjected to heavy snow loads. Up to 5% domestic travel required.  

 

Full time. The pay range for this role is $125,778 to $135,778. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
