JOB LOCATION: Fort Lauderdale, FL
POSITION: Project Architect Lead
POSITION: Manage the design, production, and coordination of projects from the Miami/Fort Lauderdale office, for projects nation-wide; provide leadership and direction to teams of Project Architects and Design Managers, ensuring effective collaboration and project success; be a dynamic presenter and be able to effectively manage diverse groups of clients, project stakeholders, and team members; act as liaison between clients and EXP project teams, including subconsultants; be responsible and accountable for understanding and negotiating appropriate fees, schedule, and contract terms that are acceptable to the client and beneficial to EXP; be responsible for project performance, including delivering projects within financial and schedule parameters, and for exceeding client expectations; and participate in business development through market research, meeting with clients, assisting with marketing proposals, and participating in selection interviews.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field plus 4 years of related experience. Required skills: Build BIM Execution Plans and develop project specific workflows that utilize BIM data for estimating, logistics, planning, scheduling (4D), coordination, field layout, and perform clash detection to validate designs in design-build Keeyask Hydroelectric Generating Station project in Manitoba and Edmonton Valley Line Light Rapid Transit, working directly with design firms to implement project-specific BIM protocols and processes; Capable of communicating design ideas using sketches, and computer design tools such as 3D modeling, AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), SketchUp, Enscape, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) with the development team and owners and supporting the construction team with quantity take off directly from the BIM models for cost estimation, project scheduling and sequencing and support the preparation of proposals with high quality renders; Manage Profit & Loss business unit that provides services in reality capture of existing conditions using LIDAR technology, virtual modeling using Revit, 4D visualizations, realistic renders, and BIM consulting services to create and implement corporate-wide BIM/ VDC implementation strategy, and managing teams; Overall drafting and coordination of drawings and preparation of sitework, boring machine sequence, logistics plans and traffic management drawings for underground subway expansions. Up to 40% domestic and international travel required to visit clients, visit factories, conferences and other EXP offices; and for project execution. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Up to 2 days a week of remote work allowed.
Full time. The pay range for this role is $142,106 to $152,106. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
