Your work environment at EXP
EXP an award-winning international engineering firm, is currently searching for an experienced Mechanical Designer/Engineer. This is an opportunity to get great exposure from our talented and experienced engineering staff in our Dallas, TX office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit
- Prepare calculations for loads.
- Thorough knowledge of codes.
- Select and schedule equipment.
- Coordinates with other disciplines (MEP/FP, Arch, Struct, etc.).
- Understand proper scope of SD, DD, CD level documents – and deliver appropriate documentation.
- Work with PC, PM, to meet scheduled project milestones of multiple projects.
- Perform at a ‘responsible charge’ level of meeting exp’s design and quality levels.
- Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
- Write studies and reports for systems on projects.
- Understands and apply concepts of CHW, HW, WSHP, variable & constant flow systems.
- Air side systems – CV, VAV, coil selection, fan selection.
- Hydronic Systems – hot, chilled water systems and condenser water systems
Thorough understanding psychometrics and being able to apply to every project.
What your experience looks like
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- EIT preferred working towards PE
- 3 years of experience
- Must have strong leadership skills and good communication capabilities.
- Preferred experience includes: data center, mission critical and/or telecom industry.
- Building design experience is a must
