Be our next Indiana Transportation Leader to work within the Infrastructure/Transportation business practice. The selected candidate will work under the direct supervision the Transportation Practice Leader with a focus on roadway, bridge, water and railway related projects. The Indiana Transportation Leader will provide leadership for the successful delivery of projects and grow the transportation practice within the state. The candidate should have demonstrated experience in delivering projects, as well as managing client relationships for the Indiana Department of Transportation, City of Indianapolis, surrounding counties and municipalities, NICTD and Class I freight rail clients.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Provide leadership for the successful delivery of transportation projects of varying size and complexity;
- Work with transportation team members from other offices to build diverse project teams;
- Recruit, train, develop and retain local transportation staff to successfully deliver projects;
- Negotiate and manage budgets and help ensure financial performance objectives are achieved for each project;
- Build and maintain client relationships, develop new clients and win work for the Infrastructure/Transportation Practice;
- Supervise and direct staff engineers and technicians to meet project deadlines as well as scope and budget requirements; and
- Work with leadership team within the Infrastructure/Transportation Practice, as well as across EXP’s Practice Groups, to develop and carry out our mission.
What your experience looks like
- 15 years of progressively responsible relevant experience
- BS in Civil Engineering
- Licensed PE in the State of Indiana
- Proven record of client relationship development and maintenance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to direct and supervise staff engineers and technicians
- Strong leadership, project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to recruit, grow and mentor staff
