Duties
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling all retail sales transactions with precision and efficiency
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of store products and merchandising to assist customers effectively
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and ensuring the sales floor is tidy and inviting
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions swiftly while maintaining accuracy
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries
- Promote additional sales through upselling techniques while respecting customer preferences
- Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and product placement
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Supervising experience in a retail environment is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transaction processing
- Experience conducting product demos or upselling techniques that enhance customer satisfaction and store revenue
- Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities with integrity and accuracy
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising principles, and basic math skills necessary for daily tasks
