Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Supervisor to lead our locally owned landscaping team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for maintaining beautiful landscapes. This role involves overseeing landscape maintenance activities, ensuring the health of gardens, lawns, and trees, and managing a team of landscape professionals. The Landscape Supervisor will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our properties while ensuring high standards of care and maintenance.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscape installation tasks, including drainage, irrigation, and plant/tree care.
- Drive crew to different locations and pick up materials from different suppliers.
- Lead a team of installation and flower bed maintenance staff, providing training and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Develop and implement landscape and maintenance schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain gardens and landscaped areas by planting, pruning, fertilizing.
- Inspect landscapes regularly to assess plant health and identify any issues that require attention.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients to understand their landscaping needs and preferences.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all landscaping activities.
- Manage inventory of landscaping supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape management or groundskeeping with a focus on installations and garden maintenance.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care practices, and general landscaping techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining physical stamina for manual labor.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- A valid driver’s license is a must.
