Main Responsibilities:
- Develop sales strategies for assigned products and provide technical knowledge/training.
- Submit timely reports summarizing findings on products or projects.
- Create detailed customer proposals and document them.
- Enhance profitability through productivity, throughput, customer service, quality, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain inventory levels and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Provide product information support for assigned product groups.
- Foster positive relationships with suppliers.
- Handle customer concerns and non-conforming materials processes.
- Recommend process improvements.
- Assist in developing long-term business plans and sales forecasts.
- Identify new customer targets to achieve sales growth objectives.
- Work with the supplier management team to develop contracts with distributors.
- Lead field applications, system designs, and customer product development/enhancement initiatives.
- Introduce new technologies.
- Analyze competitors/competitive products and provide feedback to account managers and sales management.
- Develop and execute sales promotions.
- Support retail services with strategies and programs.
- Manage special supplier programs and rebate selling levels.
- Provide product expertise training at all levels.
- Makes joint sales calls with account managers.
- Collaborate with technical representatives, distributors, marketing, and product teams to adapt products to customer needs.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support marketing material creation.
- Participate in and coordinate product line-specific trade shows and open house activities.
- Represent Exotic University as a champion and presenter, as assigned.
- Contribute to a positive work environment.
- Generate profit and meet goals and objectives set by the Board of Directors.
- Participate in corporate on-boarding and orientation programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Three years of experience in a technical support or sales role, preferably in the industry.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Life Sciences and Medical Devices, preferred.
- Computer literacy.
- Valid driver's license.
- Organizational skills to prioritize, plan, and coordinate work activities and resources.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills to support company initiatives.
- Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with associates, customers, business partners, and management.
