Role Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll serve as the technical expert for our warehouse client on Exotec's Skypod technology, a system combining advanced robotics and automation to streamline order picking. With minimal on‑site supervision during your shift, you’ll take full ownership of system reliability—troubleshooting issues, performing preventative maintenance and making real‑time decisions to maintain availability. This role is best suited for a self‑directed technician who thrives in autonomous environments, enjoys hands‑on problem solving and is comfortable being the go‑to Exotec resource for our client warehousing team.
- Oversee the maintenance of all the systems (robots, machines, conveyors) installed by Exotec in the client’s warehouse
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance tasks on systems and machines
- Monitor the performance of the installations
- Work both autonomously and collaboratively to maintain Exotec's system availability targets (99%)
- Interact with on-site clients to provide operations advice and perform maintenance
- Assist with installation and deployment of new systems or machines
- Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

- 2-3 years of maintenance experience, ideally with some exposure to robotics
- Good general knowledge and competency in mechanical, electrical and software maintenance operations and engineering
- An interest working on various robotics systems and machines
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to meet physical demands of job:
- Use and manipulation of standard hand tools
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Working from heights of up to 50 ft
- Use and operation of lifts with a manufacturer‑rated capacity of 250 lbs, including tools and equipment (approximately 30 lbs)
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling to access and repair equipment at ground level
- Working on overhead equipment, including extended reaching and manual dexterity
- Comfort with regular, on-site work at client warehouse in Fort Worth, TX
- Any understanding of basic SQL queries would be a bonus
