Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mental Health Specialist - Outreach, located in Los Angeles, CA. The Mental Health Specialist will be responsible for providing mental health care, conducting psychological assessments, and managing cases. Day-to-day tasks include offering crisis intervention, developing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. This role involves direct interaction with patients, helping them navigate their mental health journeys, and providing necessary support and resources.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide mental health assessment, intervention, and support in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
• Engage clients in the field and connect them with housing, benefits, and community-based care.
• Collaborate with public, private, and nonprofit partners to reduce barriers to stability and wellness.
• Participate in daily team meetings and maintain documentation that meets agency and Department of Health Services standards.
• Serve as the team’s mental health consultant, helping to guide trauma-informed, client-centered care.

What We’re Looking For:

• Master’s in Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage & Family Therapy
• Strong clinical and communication skills, with attention to detail and organization.
• Experience or passion for working with people experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to work in both office and field environments.
