Exodus HR Group is hiring a Benefit Coordinator!
The Benefit Coordinator is responsible for helping Exodus HR clients eliminate the administrative headaches around benefit administration for their organization. Our mission is to provide streamlined solutions and to take the burden of those administrative duties off our clients so their business can thrive! The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of employer insurance options and benefits as well as a high attention to detail and desire for work to be as accurate as possible. In many cases, you will be communicating directly with clients, their employees, and brokers or insurance vendors. Therefore, a customer service-oriented mindset and customer service skills are required!
This position also takes a very hands-on role in the overall success and efficiency of the benefits department. This includes helping develop processes and procedures that allow the organization to grow and scale including being the champion for our electronic enrollment process through UKG Ready.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee administration of employee benefits for clients including updating carrier sites with terminations, additions, rate changes and communicating with insurance agencies.
Configure client benefit onboarding portals in UKG for open enrollment and benefit changes throughout the year
Prepare announcement materials, plan summary documents, and other media for communicating plans to client employees
All aspects of open enrollment including gathering quotes, communicating quotes to clients, facilitating open enrollment either virtually or in person, and submitting election updates to the carriers.
Facilitate Cobra/state continuation through Kept for clients who utilize cobra options with Exodus
Research and find solutions for carrier bill discrepancies versus UKG enrollment information
Develop streamlined processes for benefits team as well as evaluate communications between Exodus HR Group teams to ensure efficiency and excellence.
Reporting and analytics as requested by leadership
Advice and counsel clients and employees on existing benefits. Handle benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution
Responsible for the maintenance of enrollment and claims records for all benefits plans
Assist HR/Client Services in preparing WRAP documents for all clients who offer health insurance to their employees
Maintain accuracy of benefits information in client guides
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Must be highly proficient in health insurance and supplemental insurance. This includes the ability to get quotes for plans, answer employee/employer questions regarding a client's offered benefit packages, preparation of open enrollment, an understanding of carrier sites and enrollment / termination deadlines and understand benefit reconciliations.
- Ability to deal professionally, courteously, and efficiently with clients and employees who have questions or problems and maintain a consistent and positive customer service image as well as a high level of patience and understanding when interacting with clients and employees.
- Must be able to utilize the UKG Ready platform and configure the system. Ability to handle data with confidentiality
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and lead a team to meet deadlines

- Excellent problem solver with the ability to think critically Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to keep up-to-date and comply with federal, state, and local legal and benefit regulatory requirements and advise management when necessary
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Is proficient in the use of word processing programs. Works well in a team environment.
TRAVEL
This position does not regularly travel, however, there are overnight trips 3-4X’s per year depending on client needs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to see, talk, hear and operate a vehicle. Will frequently be required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to handle, feel, reach with hands and arms; and stoop or kneel.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- At times, could require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).
