Residential Insurance Appraiser

Castle High Value Surveys, a division of Overland Solutions (an EXL Company), is aleading provider for high value residential insurance surveys to the insuranceindustry nationwide. We are currently looking for self-directed independentcontractors to work from their own home or office and service both virtual andphysical assignments in the Cheyenne, WY area and other locations withinapproximately 100 miles of Cheyenne with more remoteassignments available. We are interested in those knowledgeable in realestate and/or building materials and construction techniques. You will be responsible to schedule and conduct both site-based and virtual residentialproperty surveys that will be used for homeowners’ insurance purposes. Thisinvolves coordinating and completing both on-site and virtual surveys withinyour own schedule, managing work assignments you accept, and solid computerskills as all reports are web-based and completed online. Previousinsurance, inspection, construction or appraising experience preferred, but allinterested candidates are encouraged to submit their qualifications. Feesare negotiable depending on experience and the unique aspects of selected jobs. Primary Requirements:Professionally interact over the phone, via email, and in-person with homeowners and insuranceagentsConduct on-site property surveys on high value homes as percustomer specific guidelines and proceduresConduct virtual property surveys on high value homes as percustomer specific guidelines and proceduresIdentify and document the construction materials/characteristicsand unique features of the homeObtain exterior measurements of the home and other structures onthe propertyCommunicate the information gathered during on-site inspection inthe provided web-based client requested forms accessed through the CastlewebsiteTools or Items You Must Provide:Digital cameraWindows based computer (Internet Explorer required)High speed internet accessReliable vehicleMeasuring device such as: laser, 100 ft. tape, or measuring wheelAuto and General Liability InsuranceIf you are looking for flexibility, the ability to work independently, and have aninterest in real-estate, construction, or interior design, then this might bethe right opportunity for you.
