What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Account Manager position at EXL Service?
The Strategic Account Manager will be a part of the EXL Banking front-end team. They will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in strategic accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. As a trusted advisor, you will help clients navigate complex challenges through tailored solutions and find new business opportunities.
The Strategic Account Manager will work with other leaders within EXL to provide the best solutions that align with the client’s strategic priorities and drive high value growth within client organizations through EXL’s data-led approach.
Key Responsibilities
Client relationship management and growth: Primary liaison with the key business sponsors at clients, develop new relationships, identify and track key strategic goals and plans of clients
Account Planning: Create the account plan including relationships required, opportunities to be pursued, capabilities mapping etc.
Client Delivery Assurance: Collaborate with delivery leaders to ensure best-in-class delivery
Set up and run regular Monthly and Quarterly Business Review meetings with clients. Work with other internal groups as needed to prepare material for all such regular meetings
Strategic Solutioning - Understand pain points for the client and map relevant products, services and solutions to those by partnering with EXL’s Product, Service and Solutioning areas to develop customized solutions as appropriate
Contracting: Manage SOW’s including negotiating business terms
Represent the clients’ needs and interest within EXL
What we are looking for
10 years of experience across strategic account management, business development and management consulting preferably in the banking and financial services industry
Experience working with large, Global, Fortune 500 customers
Experience driving transformational deals and/ or delivering strategic projects engaging with C-level stakeholders
Strong executive presence
Firsthand experience with proposal creation, content development and leading proposal presentations
Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Knowledge and market understanding of AI / ML, Generative AI and other digital transformation solutions.
Experience working in an international and matrixed environment collaborating with large, multi-location teams
Located in the New York City area or ability to travel to the NYC area at short notice per business requirements
Bachelor’s degree, MBA/ post graduate degree preferred
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
Salary : $140,000 - $190,000
