Social Media Content Creator

Exit 11 Coffee
Washington, MO Full Time
POSTED ON 9/29/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/28/2026

The Social Media Content Creator we need is part storyteller, part visual craftsman, wired to make people stop scrolling. You're not here to execute someone else's shot list; you see what a photo or reel should be before anyone has to tell you, and you make it happen.

Exit 11 Coffee grew from a single two-sided trailer to nine drive-thru locations, a roastery, and a wholesale operation, all bootstrapped, no outside investors. We don't have a big marketing budget.  We have stories, real ones, and a founder who shows up in every community we serve.  What we need now is someone who can capture that in reels and photos that actually stop the scroll.

As our Social Media Content Creator, you'll build the content engine that makes Exit 11 and the founder's personal brand visible and felt. You'll shoot, edit, and post reels, photos, and stories across both channels, owning the creative direction start to finish. You'll run a rolling content calendar planned at least a quarter out, balancing strategy with the freedom to respond to real moments, so both brands stay consistent and alive without turning into a task list.

You'll also be the voice in our comments and inbox, our online community manager, responding to comments, acknowledging posts, and sharing what people tag us in, because showing up in the conversation matters as much as starting it. You'll show up at 1 to 2 events a month, from a quick coffee for local teachers to a three-day mobile unit activation, and document what matters.

You'll collaborate with the CEO, and eventually the Marketing Director, on what story gets told this week, this quarter, this year. You'll spend 20% of your time in graphic design, building flyers, posters, and signage that look like they were made on purpose.  And you'll use AI tools to move faster without losing what makes this real.

This role isn't for someone who wants to be handed instructions. It's for someone who sees the shot, the story, and the angle before anyone else does. If you've got the eye, the instinct, and the drive to build something visible out of stories that are actually true, this is your next challenge.

Responsibilities

•   Own creative direction for Exit 11 Coffee's channels and the founder's personal brand.

•   Run rolling content calendar, planned a quarter out, that keeps both brands consistent and alive.

•   Attend and document 1–2 events a month, big and small.

•   Respond to comments and messages, acknowledge posts, and share content others tag us in.

•   Collaborate with the CEO, and eventually the MarketingDirector, on the story being told.

•   Spend 20% of your time in graphic design: social assets, flyers, posters, drive-thru signage.

Qualifications

•   4–5 years creating social media content indirect-to-consumer, beverage, food, or hospitality.

•   High-level photography, videography, video editing, and visual storytelling skills.

•   A portfolio of reels, stories, and photos, bonus for event and behind-the-scenes work.

•   Proven ability to manage a content calendar and keep content going out on schedule.

•   A critical visual eye that catches a weak angle before it ever gets posted.

•   Comfortable with AI tools and apps that speed up the work, clear-eyed about keeping it authentic.

•   This role requires in-person presence, working 100% in-office, not from home.

•   Graphic design skills and comfort with Canva or similar tools preferred.

•   Experience managing a personal brand alongside a company brand preferred.

•   Background in hospitality, food and beverage, or direct-to-consumer e-commerce preferred.
