Part-Time TAG Teacher

Overview

Duties

• Develop engaging lesson plans that integrate creative writing, literacy education, math enrichment, physical education, and other core subjects to stimulate advanced thinking
• Utilize classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning environment conducive to exploration and discovery
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and ongoing evaluations; adapt instruction accordingly
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to support students’ social-emotional development and individual interests
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, lesson plans, and instructional activities; proofread materials for clarity and accuracy
• Engage in professional development opportunities related to education administration, tutoring techniques, or specialized teaching certifications

Qualifications

• Proven classroom experience working with children or students in a gifted program
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and academic advising practices
