Project Manager

 Job Description: 

Oversee a distributed team providing IT infrastructure support, software sustainment,
intelligence analysis, and related services to Air Force, Army and DoD customers
spanning government/contractor sites globally. Customer focus is with Air Force
Air Combat Command (ACC) organizations at Joint Base Langley Eustis (JBLE),
Virginia. The PM will review/edit deliverable documents, ensure performance
metrics are met, and manage staffing process for new positions and vacancies.
Assist with proposal related activities as needed.  

Clearance Level: Active DoD Top Secret required 

Required Qualifications:   

• Independent thinking and decision making skills with demonstrated successes working
  remotely from company headquarters as a PM for multiple DoD IT tasks 
• Knowledge of current ACC IT programs and systems and
  associated organizational structures/processes is essential. 
• Existing professional relationships with USAF ACC government
  stakeholders, and incumbent contractor companies 
• Understanding of Current DoD IT architecture, policy and procedures  

· In-depth knowledge of and experience with IT Project Management processes in a DoD environment including, but not limited
to; industry standard Project Management principles and practices such as those defined by the PMI in the PMBOK Guide, ISO
9001/CMMI and Quality processes related to IT Service delivery  

• Strong analytical, planning, problem solving, and organizational skills 
• Proven interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills with demonstrated history of positive interaction with employees, prime &
  subcontractors, and government clients, including executives, managers, and technical subject matter experts. 
• Proficiency with generating & maintaining IT project related artifacts in Microsoft Project 
• Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast paced, high volume environment  
• Ability to work locally in JBLE area with infrequent travel to company and customer sites elsewhere in CONUS possible (5-10%). 
• Demonstrated experience supporting DoD IT/C4ISR proposal generation  

Desired Qualifications:  

· USAF veteran with IT/C4ISR related active duty career field 

· Master’s Degree in Management/IT related field 

· DoD 8570 IAT-II/IAM-I certification

 

Education & Experience:  

· Bachelors’ Degree in IT/Management, or related discipline  

· At least 10 (ten) years of total DoD IT/C4ISR experience, including at least 3 (three) years DoD PM experience as a
contractor supporting multiple concurrent/distributed DoD IT programs  

· At least 2 (two) years’ experience supporting Air Force Air Combat Command (ACC) organizations at Joint Base
Langley Eustis (JBLE), Virginia 

· At lease 2 (two) years’ experience supporting U.S. Army organizations 

Certifications: 

· Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP)
