Position Description: Works as part of an elite Emergency Management team providing expertise in direct support of the Command’s Continuity of Operations (COOP) requirements outlined in DoD and USTRANSCOM COOP Policies. Requirements include ensuring the preparedness and response capabilities of personnel and key infrastructure essential to successful USTRANSCOM operations. Responsible to the government OPRs to support emergency management planning program activities and Emergency Management Training Support to include Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/AED, Bleeding Control, and other first aid training requirements across the command. Perform whole of mission coordination as a key member of the Command COOP Site Support Team and the Command COOP Reconstitution Planning Team (RPT). Facilitates actions of the COOP Planning Team, reviews current COOP Plan and associated appendices while providing support activities for the command Alternate Operating Facilities. Provides continuous integrated process and program improvement as opportunities are discovered.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Management of Command training
- Plan training activities as they relate to both COOP and RPT requirements
- Conduct reviews of all plans and associated appendices in support of COOP and RPT operations
- Provides recommendations for process and program improvements
Required Skills:
- Must be able to communicate at all levels
- Management of requirements and coordination throughout the command with appropriate POCs
- Multi-task
- Must be able to write and translate plans into briefings and OPORDS
Required Qualifications:
- SECRET Clearance
- Microsoft Office familiarity
Desired Qualifications:
- COOP and RPT experience
