Responsibilities
- Develop customized fitness programs based on clients’ health assessments, goals, and physical capabilities
- Lead engaging one-on-one training sessions focused on improving strength, endurance, flexibility, and overall wellness without increasing pain
- Educate clients on proper body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology to optimize performance and prevent injury
- Incorporate sports coaching techniques to enhance athletic skills and functional movement patterns
- Maintain accurate records of client progress, session notes, and program adjustments to ensure continuous improvement
Experience
- Proven background in physiology knowledge, anatomy, and body mechanics with relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Exercise Physiologist or Athletic Trainer credentials or Physical Therapy Assistant--Bachelor's and/or Associate's Degree)
- Experience designing effective exercise programs tailored to diverse client needs across various fitness levels
- Strong skills in personal training, group fitness instruction, and teaching physical education concepts
- Demonstrated ability to motivate clients through energetic coaching and positive reinforcement
- Prior experience working in a health-focused setting such as a gym or sports facility is highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field
- Strong understanding of strength training, mobility, and injury prevention
