Exercise Revolution is looking for a motivated, energetic Certified Athletic Trainer who wants to do more than work a traditional athletic training schedule.
This unique position combines high school athletic training coverage, sports performance, personal training, and private fitness studio coaching.
The Position:
The Athletic Trainer/Performance Coach will have the opportunity to work approximately 25–35 hours per week, including:
- Approximately 10–15 hours/week of contingent athletic training coverage for a Public School. This is a must of this role.
- Scheduled hours at Exercise Revolution assisting with supervised, appointment-based independent training.
- Individual and semi-private personal training.
- Sports performance training for youth and adult athletes.
- Strength, mobility, injury-prevention, and return-to-fitness programming.
- Opportunities to build an individual client base within Exercise Revolution.
Who We're Looking For
This position would be an excellent fit for an Athletic Trainer who enjoys the sports medicine environment but also loves strength training, fitness, performance, and developing long-term relationships with clients.
The ideal candidate is:
- BOC Certified Athletic Trainer
- Eligible for/currently licensed as an Athletic Trainer in Michigan
- CPR/AED certified
- Comfortable providing independent athletic training coverage
- Passionate about strength and conditioning
- Comfortable working with athletes as well as adults of varying ages and fitness levels
- Personable, dependable and self-motivated
- Interested in helping grow programs and clientele
- Able to provide encouraging, individualized coaching in a small private-studio environment
Schedule
Approximately 25–35 hours per week, depending upon school athletic schedules, studio hours and personal training appointments. To start it will be closer to 15 hours per week until clientele at studio is grown.
The position will include a combination of afternoon/evening athletic coverage and flexible studio-based hours.
This position is designed to provide the right Athletic Trainer with an opportunity to combine sports medicine performance fitness rather than being limited to a traditional athletic training role.

We focus on individualized coaching, strength and conditioning, athletic performance, injury prevention and helping people build the strength and confidence to continue doing the activities they love. The studio is filling the gap between physical therapy and going hard in sports and physical activities to continue to gain strength in a safe and productive manner, while focusing on the entire body and biomechanics that surround gaining strength and recovery.
