JOB DESCRIPTION
Manage and strengthen relationships within an existing book of business. This role requires maintaining proactive, professional communication with clients to ensure an excellent client experience. The ideal candidate will also maintain a high standard of compliance in all aspects of the business.
DESCRIPTION
Ensure consistent delivery of high quality service on the team to meet or exceed client expectations and service standards.
- Wealth management experience with fee-based consulting, tax, mutual funds, money manager programs, insurance and financial planning
- Design and implement custom investment portfolios
- Proactively adjust financial plans and investment positioning, as needed
- Stay informed on market and investment trends, tax regulations and financial planning best practices
- Serve as trusted advisor and thought leader advocating on behalf of clients
- Must be team oriented and able to collaborate with internal specialists to deliver wholistic planning experiences – including investment, retirement, financial, tax, and estate planning
- Previous experience with high net worth, ultra-high net worth and multi-generational families
- Mastery of various financial planning and investment software products (eMoney or similar)
- Highly effective interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills
- Mentor and support the development of junior staff, new staff, and interns
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in a high energy environment to manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Respond to and ensure incoming account or investment based client calls, e-mails, communications, faxes and inquiries are responded to in a quick, efficient manner – 4 business hours or less.
- Monitor team compliance and adherence to operational policies and procedures, completeness and accuracy.
EFFECTIVELY MANAGE THE CLIENTS YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Prepare for all client meetings and reviews.
- Investment reports
- Net worth
- Cash flow
- Retirement planning
- Review and analyze tax returns
- Direct trades and money movements.
- Prepare and send meeting summaries within two business days, outlining key issues, recommendations and next steps
- Liaise with Tax Team for tax projections, preparation, and filing.
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with colleagues and external centers of influence (i.e. Mutual Fund representatives, Accountants, Lawyers, etc.).
- Review estate planning documents and generate summaries and recommendations on potential updates and changes, based on each family’s unique life and financial stages.
- Understand, analyze, and present estate planning and tax strategies.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- CFP®, CPA, or CPWA designation required
- Series 65
- 10 years of financial services experience with a focus on wealth management
- Knowledgeable in Asset Allocation and Portfolio Risk Management
- Experienced with various investment products (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc.)
- Experienced using and preparing financial plans using planning software - eMoney preferred
- Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with or a working understanding of contact management software - SalesForce and Tamarac preferred
