Job Summary
Exegistics Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Equipment Operator for one of our clients located in southeast Memphis, near the Lamar Avenue and Tuggle Road area.

Under general supervision, the Equipment Operator is responsible for transferring and shipping products to customers, repair centers, and other internal locations as required. This role supports multiple functions within the business unit and serves as a key resource for material handling processes, training, and problem resolution. The ideal candidate has extensive experience operating material handling equipment, demonstrates leadership capability, and uses a data-driven approach to continuous improvement.

Shift & Pay

• Shift: 2nd Shift — 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM
• Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Transfer and ship products to customers, repair centers, and internal areas in a safe and timely manner.
• Operate material handling equipment including Order Picker, Dock Stocker, and Swing Reach (Turret Truck).
• Physically transfer materials to assembly workstations, maintain bench stock, and manage completed assemblies.
• Locate and transfer part shortages within the plant to support assembly completion.
• Verify, maintain, and reconcile stock documentation, shortage reports, and cycle count data.
• Troubleshoot material discrepancies to root cause, validate findings, and resolve cycle count issues.
• Use computer applications and systems to maintain accurate material flow transactions.
• Gather, analyze, and maintain data using spreadsheets and reporting tools.
• Serve as an educator, communicator, and problem-resolution resource for material handling issues.
• Train and mentor team members; identify training needs and ensure consistent skill development.
• Interface and negotiate effectively with support groups and cross-functional teams.
• Work collaboratively with team members to address, improve, and standardize material handling processes.
• Make objective, data-based decisions to support operational efficiency and accuracy.

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Associate degree (2-year) in materials, logistics, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating material handling equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with Order Picker, Dock Stocker, and Swing Reach (Turret Truck) equipment required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in receiving, warehousing, and/or shipping operations.
• Expertise in two or more company material handling processes.
• Proven ability to train, lead, and/or direct team members.
• Certified to operate material handling equipment.
• Experience with MS Office, including Excel; familiarity with IFS and UPS/DHL systems.
• Familiarity with international shipping requirements (preferred).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move materials weighing approximately 25 lbs. (10 kg) to 50 lbs. (25 kg) on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and safely operate material handling equipment throughout the workday.
